Approaches to Teacher Well-Being

Teacher well-being is linked to positive classroom environments, student educational experiences, and teacher retention. This paper addresses (1) definitions of educator well-being and recent changes in the educational setting that may create challenges for teacher wellness, (2) organization-wide frameworks to address educator well-being, and (3) an array of practices currently in place across schools and districts. It draws on experiences of past and present EIR grantees and others.
